Casal Bertone, Rome
The capital has its first "sustainable building"

Rèdais has made Casal Bertone, Roma (Via di Casal Bertone 62-70), the first example of a building philosophy that does not neglect the opportunity to provide a high quality of life far from the inhabitants residences.

The building was designed to create a space for the human dimension of comfort.

This was achieved with the combination of comfortable construction techniques and the consideration of the resulting energy efficiency levels from the use of materials and details, such as large windows and balconies.

The high level of comfort is achieved because of:

  • Applied construction techniques that pay particular attention to thermal and acoustic insulation;
  • Finishing that meets certain requirements, such as those mentioned in the Class A certified Schuco;
  • Under-floor heating, in order to free the walls, and to improve welfare and reduce fuel consumption;
  • Solar panels to produce 50% of domestic hot water needs;
  • Central, thermal pool, with counter self-consumption;

To further increase the total comfort level, all the apartments are equipped with home automation systems called, “My Home” (BTICINO), which allows you to automatically control security systems, automatic temperature control, control of security shutters, darkening and filtering curtains, lighting, and irrigation systems.
